The Oxford CLARIN centre is based in the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics at the University of Oxford. As the home for the Oxford Text Archive collections and the British National Corpus, the Oxford CLARIN centre can build on forty-five years of expertise and experience in curating language resources.

The University of Oxford was a founding member of the CLARIN-UK consortium in 2015. Until late 2016, Oxford University Computing Services (later renamed IT Services) hosted CLARIN projects and activities, when they moved to the Bodleian Libraries, and moved again to the Faculty in September 2021.
