The School of Critical Studies incorporates the following subject areas:
- English Language
- English Literature - including Creative Writing at Glasgow
- Scottish Literature
- Theology and Religious Studies
The School has a core commitment is to the practice of criticism, theory and interpretation, creativity and the study of language. The School's research and teaching is supported by outstanding facilities, including Glasgow University’s world-renowned library.
The School of Critical Studies was a founding member of the CLARIN-UK consortium in 2015.
