The UK application to renew our membership of CLARIN ERIC as an Observer for a further three years was approved with no objections by the CLARIN General Assembly. Paul Meller from AHRC and Martin Wynne from the University of Oxford are attending the General Assembly meeting this week in Sofia.
The category of 'Observer' for CLARIN is intended to give time for countries to evaluate the potential benefits of possible future full membership. Stakeholders in the UK will now start to develop an evidence base for UK funding agencies to consider.
