Dan McIntyre is Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Uppsala.
He was formerly active in CLARIN-UK as Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Huddersfield and a Visiting Professor in the School of Foreign Languages at Fuzhou University, China. Linguistics at Huddersfield has now been disbanded.
His main research interests are in corpus linguistics, stylistics and the history of the English language. His major publications include Corpus Stylistics: Theory and Practice (Edinburgh University Press, 2019; with Brian Walker) and Stylistics (Cambridge University Press, 2010; with Lesley Jeffries). He is editor of Language and Literature, the journal of the international Poetics and Linguistics Association.
